Can’t access forum using Discourse App

Since the updates yesterday I can no longer connected to the forum using the iOS Discourse app. I just get this error. Was working fine in the morning before the upgrade/maintenance and the app was already on latest version.

I don’t normally use the Discourse app, but upon downloading it I had to enter the forums full url to locate it.

I have attempted clearing browsing history and still no joy. I didn’t get your error message though, but that could be because I was never logged in on the Discourse app.

I gave up on the app a while ago as it wouldn’t stay signed in. I think it’s related to Roon’s SSO as another forum worked fine.

You could try changing the settings to use your default browser instead of the built-in browser.

That seems to have worked for me, by opening the links in the app.

I’m fine, thanks. Just returned from a holiday on the North Norfolk coast – first getaway circumstances allowed this year, so refreshed and ready for my next visit to the NHS! :laughing:

I use the Discourse app as well and I had to reauthenticate after yesterday’s update on both iPhone and iPad, and it’s now working just fine, as always, for me now. I’ve never experienced the problems reported by @mjw; sorry, Martin!

It worked with the SSO though before this update. Not sure what you mean by changing default browser.

Okay fixed it. It didn’t seem to like the sso via chrome at all. Switched browser to Safari and relogged in and all good now. What a pain in the arse.

I think this happens because the app uses the “system” browser and not the default browser, so the cookie is set in the wrong browser. Similar issues with Android if you use an alternative browser.
