I’ve recently re-subscribed and I’m still wondering how to get Roon to pick some music for me using a combo of my streaming service (Qobuz) and my own CD collection hopefully influenced by my likes/favourites and what’s added to my library. Most of the time it just seems to ignore my own CD collection altogether.
If you are letting Roon Radio come on, it will choose music for which you have access, local or streaming. There is an option to limit Radio to only your library, and that is found (see below) clicking the e dots I’ve highlighted in green and then selecting the toggle.
As for influencing what it chooses, you can’t really. However, you could build some smart playlists and the shuffle them.
Thank you. Does the library only toggle include the streaming service and tracks from my own CD collection and how do I start Roon radio without having to select something to play in the first place?
So is there another way to get Roon to compile a playlist for me that includes music from my own collection as well as my streaming library only and weigh the selection more to my own collection. Something like that? I think I must have just imagined this was possible.
Thanks in advance for your expert insight.
There is 5-6 daily mixes that includes new and old favourites from both your library and streaming services.
and the mentioned radio, this can be started from band/album/genre
