I Cannot see my nucleus one internal storage on the network. I have tried everything in the knowledge base in order that my network connection is sound but as soon as I type into file explorer search the following: (file://nucleusone/data/storage/InternalStorage), I get an unspecified error 0x80004005. I can see and connect to my other devices on the network, including my Synology DS218.
Have enabled the “insecure guest logon” in gpedit, enabled “smb client”. Have enabled file and printer sharing, and network discovery (Private).
I have a new computer, a Geekom A8, replacing a Geekom A5. The A5, after going through the setup in the Roon knowledge base, was fine and I have reinstalled it and it still has the Nucleus one mapped and connects ok. Windows has been reinstalled on the new A8 but still cannot connect. At my wits end! Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Stan
Fellow user here, below is a cut/paste on what I suspect is your issue.
From your description, it sounds like you’re running into a known issue caused by Microsoft tightening security. You’ll have to perform a few extra steps to tell Windows that it’s OK to connect to your Nucleus system as well.
Many many thanks Dan. You solved my issue. It was the Microsoft network client (para. 6 c) that required disabling.
Just mapped it so it’s there when required.
