Can't delete an album

Some people had a similar issue in the past, and I don’t think there was a solution apart from an update from Roon. I can’t delete some albums, even if I restart the server.

Justin,

The dialogue in your post is saying that the tracks appear no longer to be in your library.

Did you (try to) delete them manually yourself?

If not, when do you get the message, a screenshot of which you post?

What happens when you go to Settings > Library > Library maintenance > Clean up library?

I had the same issue a couple days ago with one particular album (Qobuz). Oddly, I had no issue deleting others. I finally gave up trying to delete the problem album. The next day I checked, and it was gone, seemingly resolving itself with time.

Yes, I deleted this album that comes from Qobuz in Roon. No matter what I do, the album remains in my library. I get this message the first time I try to delete the album (after a reboot). After that, even when I try to delete it, there’s absolutely no change.

Yes, I have this problem with specific albums. But it seems to me that even after a while, these albums remain in my library.

If you haven’t already, check in the Qobuz app to be sure the album still doesn’t show as a favorite there.

Mine was really strange. Roon indicated the album was no longer available, which is why I wanted to delete it. In the Qobuz app, it still showed in my favorites, but was greyed out (couldn’t play it as expected). I was able to “unfavorite” it in the Qobuz app; it then instantly disappeared from the Qobuz app.

I don’t know if me removing it as a favorite in Qobuz is what finally removed it from Roon a day later (forcing a resync or rebooting did not help).

Should we assume that you’re already familiar with the phenomena details in this - and several others - thread; and that what you’re experiencing is in no way connected with the Qobuz issue?

This time I unfavourited the album in Qobuz and it seems to work. But for other albums, it hasn’t worked.

The phenomenon is not quite the same, but it may be the Qobuz API?

Did you try liking the same album in Qobuz, subsequently removing the ‘favorite’ heart, while your roon server is not connected to your Qobuz account (or down)?

This worked for me at least in some cases of ‘Zombie albums’.
