Casting to Sony Google TV (Chromecast) causes Roon to stop

Just getting started here…

I have a Sony Bravia TV running Google TV.

For a few hours today, I had no trouble casting to this TV while playing music. It was really neat - seeing the album art, lyrics, etc. Very cool.

Then my wife came home and I was all set to do a demo. Now the music plays fine but when I click the cast button the music stops and I get a popup “Waiting for your Roon server” followed by “Something went wrong”. After 30 seconds or so the app restarts and I can continue playing.

I can cast to a browser.

I have disabled the TV from the Display and Audio lists, and then enabled them. Same result.

Is there a logfile somewhere I can look at? Any other ideas?

Thank you so much

Update - I guess my TV wigged out because I cycled the power on the TV and now it’s fine. Sure would be nice if there were some kind of diagnostics somewhere.

I still need to sort out how to get everything going. Right now, if I want to listen in the living room, I have to turn on the DMP-A8 streamer, then the receiver, select the right input, and turn on the TV.

If I want to play it anywhere lese I have to make sure that device is on, etc.

I need to figure out if I can automate this better.

And, after a listening session everything needs to be turned off.

Working thru it!
