Description of Issue -

What is the exact port forwarding error message you see in the Roon Settings → ARC tab?

I get the multiple cghnat message.
Is there any progress on finding a fix for this. I have insufficient understanding of Tailscale to be willing to try that. I would like to access arc

You mean the MultipleNatFound error? It would really help if you posted the “exact” port forwarding error message, so that there is no guessing. There is also more than one version of this message now. There is a copy button next to it and you can then paste it here

Some internet providers it’s not possible to go around this.

this has been the error I receive lately. ARC woorked fine for months and now recently this

{
“ipv4_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“73.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“null”,“router_external_ip”:“null”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”}
}

Any solutions as this is a new to me after months of hassle free ARC riding.
No changes to hardware or ISP

This simply looks like UPnP not being enabled:

From the help:

from:

Check in your router settings and enable UPnP if it isn’t. You can find the description here in the chapter 5. Make Xbox Online Games Run Smoothly by UPnP
in your router’s manual:

Tell us if this doesn’t work

That message is with UPnP enabled. Initially I manually port forwarded, and all worked from release day until recently. Since getting this error message and ARC not working remotely I enabled UPnP on my gateway (UniFi USG) The only changes to my system during that period are updates for Roon Core Server and ARC with nothing on the hardware or ISP level.

You hadn’t mentioned a separate gateway. In this, case, the port must be opened on the gateway as well, like you seem to have done. As this didn’t help, it might be this issue:

So try this:

I figured it out…

Comcast is my ISP. I use their gateway, but in bridge mode to be able to run my network config. Comcast recently reset my gateway which took it out of bridge mode and cause ARC to throw the Multi NAT error. I put the Comcast gateway back into bridge mode and now there is only one NAT in control of the network.

Thank you for the time and advice, believe it or not your last message pointed me towards my Comcast gateway.

Sometimes poking in the dark can reveal the right path. Glad you figured it out, I hope it keeps working :slight_smile:
