My dedicated Roon/HQP server’s SSD was getting full so I swapped to a NVMe M2 SSD. I did a clean install of W11, new install of Roon, and new install of HQP.
This forced me to move my Roon Server which I did and I used a very current backup (1 hour before the swap) to restore my data.
After it did its thing my recently added category is really messed up. It shows, no matter how I sort, all my ripped CD’s as most recently added. I have not ripped a CD in over 6 years.
All of my adds since then have been Tidal or Qobuz albums. Yet in the most recently added view all my ripped CD’s show first (shows date added 3/25/2025) and then after scrolling down about 2/3’rds of the way the streaming titles show up.
Is there any way to fix this?
I have moved my Roon Server many times over the years (subscribed since late 2015) and I always had a few issues but this mess is by far the worst.
What’s the purpose of a backup if it can’t keep track of the dates added correctly?
Library approx 53K tracks of which 2/3’s are ripped CD’s. 1/3 Tidal or Qobuz tracks.
No, but my settings were close to your screen shot; Roon import timestamp was selected, but Use import tag date when present was set to yes. unlike your screen shot.
I did the restore a backup.
Can I restore my data base again from my recent back up? What settings under track import should I have set to avoid this?
FWIW I’ve had to go through a panic state of what I thought was a failed back up twice. No fun. It worked out both times - with help from folks here. Glad it worked out!
Yep, throughout the years I’ve had a couple core moves that resulted in WTheck? but it always worked out. This one when my recently added sort was so messed up, I wasn’t happy. But as usual it was operator error, I hadn’t looked that far down the import options list before. Easy fix and thankful for the good folks who help when needed.
