It is not currently possible to manually edit the Genre images. There is currently a feature request open for this here: How can I add artwork for Genres?
I definitely recommend adding to the Feature Request above. Our product team and developers keep a close eye on that category, so that’s definitely the best place to propose a change like this and get feedback from the Community.
