Should my dac Qutest be seen by Roon ? I’ve a Roon nucleus connected to a Wattson Emerson Digital as streamer witch is connected to my qutest by coaxial cable and the dac is connected to my amplifier with Rca . The SQ is really good but the dac doesn’t appear in the signal path. Any idea?
Those legacy digital interconnects are one way only – nothing can be “seen” behind such a connection. So you’re all good (Roon doesn’t have to see your DAC because you play to your streamer). Just make sure that the settings in your streamer match your DAC.
