The classical Opera (Verdi, Bellini, Wagner, Rossini, …) Without text. A bad surprise!
Is there a way to see the Libretto while hearing the Opera?
If you have the libretto in a PDF file and it’s a local album (i.e. not streamed from Qobuz or Tidal), then put the file in the album folder. It can then be opened in Roon and displayed in a browser.
Qobuz also often have the album booklets in a PDF and these can also be opened in Roon.
Have you Googled it, I found a site with Wager side by side . I know it’s not what you are asking for but it works
I have also used @Geoff_Coupe technique with PDF that works fine but you need a copy in each album where you have multiple performances of a specific opera.
I think you may find this is already a request of old

Thanks for your response. I currently use PDFs but timed libretto translations and lieder lyrics would be a huge improvement. I suspect that, like box sets, we can expect a long wait!

I suspect they need to be available to be “got at”, Roon will not produce the content merely source and display it via the UI, like current lyrics.
Its my suspicion that the box set delay is down to the same issue , where do you find inner details of boxes like Disc Subtitles and by disc Artwork.
As it stands a box set solution may turn into a box set editor for us to use - hardly Roon super automated
You are probably right. I have only managed to get Roon to display librettos or lyrics by editing the underlying metadata for each track, which is an enormous effort when you have hundreds (actually over a thousand) of vocal recitals or opera albums. If they could automate the process a bit by allowing us to upload text lyrics to each song in the same way we can attach pdf booklets to each album, that would be helpful. However, I am not holding my breath. Tbh, I am happy with Roon overall, but it would be good to have a sense that they are looking after us classical people with even 5% of the attention currently being paid to ARC, which I use once in a blue moon.
FWIW Roon Arc will ignore embedded lyrics in files and always try fetch them from online services; so your solution with embedded lyrics only works while you’re online
