This is from the CTO of Roon Labs. Note the end of his post where he says:

ROCK on NUC vs. on Nucleus

This is true. The version that runs on Nucleus is customized for Nucleus, just like the version of RoonOS that runs on Merging’s NADAC PLAYER is customized for that hardware and ROCK is customized for suitability with a range of available NUC platforms. Everyone here said the Nucleus was not intended to connect directly to a dac. They said to get a Pi and use it as a bridge.

I don’t believe everyone would say that. I’ve used a direct USB connection from my ROCK machine for some time.

Let your ears be your guide, not some generally out-of-date advice.

It’s a Pi4 with Riopeee. No Roon software on it.

Ropieee has Roon bridge baked in. Otherwise, Roon wouldn’t play to it.

So, reloading Bridge can be done by using the Ropieee option that is shown in @Stefano_Antonelli’s post.
