Concerning Roon database backups

Hi,
Roon strongly suggests that you “do not set the location of database backups to be within any watched folders”.

I use a PC laptop for my Roon core. I keep my music library on a 2TB external hard drive attached via USB.
From what I can determine, this is a “watched folder”.
I am currently finishing up playlists for my music collection, and afterwards I plan to do a new backup
.
My question is: Does the above strong suggestion from Roon mean that I should remove the drive with my music library from the laptop before I do the backup?

If you set the whole drive as watched, then it is a watched folder. But you don’t have to. Instead, set the watch on one or more folders on the drive, and keep the backup outside of them.

Or simply set specific folders to be ignored, as I handle it …
