Controlling ROCK? [answered: just use web management ui + Roon]

I am considering moving my core over to ROCK, but have a fairly basic question- how do you control it? does it have any sort of web interface, or would it need to be done using a phone app?

Thanks,

-jamie

There is a basic web interface for network settings and reinstallation plus shutdowns and reboots etc…otherwise its just like any other core setup - you manage it from the remotes

A key point about ROCK is that it is designed to be an appliance, so it does not need management in the same way that say a windows 10 Roon core box does.

See, I wasn’t even aware that the same Roon interface that I have been using could also be used on another machine to remote control my library. That is what I was missing!

Thanks,

You can install Roon Remote everywhere. In my house it is on every device we use. Android tablet and phones, iPhone , iPad and several Win10 laptops. There is even a web interface available but you will need to read the Tinkering section of the Community for details.

You might want to give this a read. It will help guide you through the move.
