Copying large music collection through Roon Nucleus/Core

I want to copy a large 4TB music collection that is on my Roon Core internal hard drive, to an external drive. This will be the portable version of my library. If I plug this drive into my Core, it will show up on the network as a drive. But if I copy the files using my PC, the files have to go across my network (which is quite slow), not directly through the Core machine correct?

Is there a way to copy using the Core machine itself so I bypass the network?

Sadly, no. Just make sure that Core and the other computer are both wired to the same 1 GB/s switch (no Wi-Fi) and it won’t be too bad.
