Core platform advice/opinions please

I’m currently running Roon Core on a relatively powerful W10 desktop PC connected to my 4K TV, though I mostly use it ‘headless’, using Roon Remote on various Android devices. In my main HiFi system, the PC drives a Chord Qutest via USB (silently, through a wall). Other rooms/zones all consist of a Raspberry-pi running Ropieee. An old DS213j in a remote room holds my 3TB FLAC library but I mostly use Qobuz now.

No issues, except my nagging concerns about leaving the big PC powered 24/7. Can I use WOL? How do I save power during the majority of the day but retain quick access? Roon takes minutes to boot on the PC.

I’m seriously considering upgrading to a DS920+ and moving my core there. But then I still have to drive my DAC…

I don’t want any non-silent hardware in my main listening room.

If it’s not broke don’t fix it?

The DS is not going to be as powerful as your desktop. I just leave my computer on, but, that is me.

If it is not broke, do not fix it.
