Hello all, so long story short, I’ve been using roon for a long time but I was recently messing around with MUSE settings on ARC and I realised that I might’ve been missing out on some stuff. If anyone is familiar with my setup, or has any insight regarding audio dynamics, it’d really help if you could share your settings or possible tweaks that I could implement. Of course any advice is appreciated, whether it’s on EQ, Crossfeed, Balance etc.
I use an android phone for streaming (Nothing phone 1), with the Moonriver 2 by Moondrop and the Focal Clear MG Pro
I have a pair of the Clear Mg’s. It depends on what I am listening to and my mood, but I occasionally use the PEQ and the settings from Oratory1990, you can find them on his Reddit.
Crossfeed is helpful with older recordings mainly where the channels are panned hard left and right.
Just try a few different settings.
Balance, I can only ever envisage using that on headphones if you have a hearing issue in one ear.
I finished tuning them this morning, not gonna lie, this EQ is pretty spot on, thanks a lot ! do you have any idea where I can find settings or a guide on Crossfeed ?
See the guide Suedkiez posted, ARC comes with L, M or H presets but you can fine tune them, it really depends on the recording, some recordings in the 60’s benefit from crossfeed, more modern recordings do not, this is all subjective, you can play around with it and see what you like and save presets for different scenarios and headphones.
Glad you liked the PEQ settings, they really are very good IMO, Oratory1990 does a lot of work in this area, his PEQ settings have helped me improve how I listen to music in some cases.
