Custom Dark Mode Roon 1.8 icons

 I think you are completely right, I had to re-read what he said and that makes sense.

Is there any possibility to change the Roon icon on iOS? Without developer account et al?

You can already use Roon offline, it just needs to phone home every 30 days or so. As for mobile core, that is also called a laptop. Or, if you want to get fancy you take a small NUC/PC as a core, a dragonfly and some speaker, and use your phone to create a local lan.

For example, I have used a Nuc, a WiFi enabled battery powered HDD, a dragonfly, with my phone creating a local lan to tie them all together, and set it up at the local audio store to demo amps and speakers. Creating a fully functional mobile Roon network.

Thanks, I’m aware of all these options. I was simply helping to clarify a question posed to @Ethan_S by @Occamsrazor.

Personally, I have no use for offline or mobile as I don’t go anywhere that I care to have music with me.

It is possible but you would have to pay $100 for an Apple xCode license per year to beta test the application so you can change the icons.

That’s what I figured, thanks.

Do not forget to replace the icon again, roon will overwrite the existing icon after installing an update!

Thanks for the dark icon, I was going to ask the Roon guys for one.

Great stuff, you should upload it to https://macosicons.com, so it will be available in Replacicon.

I will think about it, thanks for letting me know, I had no idea that existed.

Outstanding work!

Thank you for the dark icon! Does anyone have the old 1.7 icon? I really like it over the text-based new one.

Trying to replace the white 1.8 desktop icon in Windows with the 1.7 icon (no text). Windows won’t let me do it.
Anyone know the trick to get Roon to accept a different file as the icon?

Well, I totally deleted the 1.8 icon, replaced it with the 1.7 icon and shutdown the PC. After a power up, I got the 1.7 icon accepted.
