I was happy to see the addition of custom playlist art in the new release. However, the only place I can see that it shows up is as a tiny thumbnail once you’re already looking at the playlist. Is this art available anywhere else?
What other places should it be available?
“Should” might not be the right word, but ideally if people are going to the trouble to create a custom cover for a playlist, it should not be limited to a display where that work cannot be appreciated.
I would like to see a playlist cover (and a tag cover frankly albeit one can convert a tag into a Smart Playlist pretty easily) displayed larger in the queue screen and on the now playing screen.
I do wish that Roon would make some of these screens more configurable. I would love a Now Playing screen that includes what is up next as well as the Tag or Playlist cover.
Anticipating this comment: no thank you I do not need this moved to feedback “because the Roon team doesn’t read this section” (they should) and most people are out of votes anyway.
My question was a sincere one. I assume it was not an insignificant amount of programming effort to add the feature so figured it must have been implemented in a more thorough way. Since it appears that is not the case, having a “Playlists” option in the left sidebar (like Roon used to have, but without removing the text playlist list that it has now) that opens an “album” browser (but with playlist covers) would be a great addition.
