Presumably roon determines the upper limit of a DAC’s sample rate through a query at the OS’s USB device level. However a chain of intermediate usb devices may not properly register this. My own SRC-DX product is recognized by windows as being capable of 768kHz PCM yet Roon upsampling limits the max to 384kHz. Perhaps an override would be nice.

Are we saying Roon installed in Windows sees capabilities different to Windows itself? Or Roon installed on another operating system?
