We just laid hands on a DAC with this issue for the first time a week or two ago. Then QA reproduced the issue, and transferred the unit to my location a couple of days ago so I can look into it. Quite a few DACs use XMOS, yes, but the vast majority do not have this issue. We’ve been dealing with XMOS-based DACs since the very beginning–this is a more recent problem wiht a few.

Is thee a model / version of this xmos that is known to be an issue specifically then?

The NuPrime uDSD has had this issue from the day I first used it in Room, which is a good few years back now.
