Yes, the advantages happen in cases with an embedded DAC, a USB bridge, or an S/PDIF bridge. Most discussions about audio clocking focus on clock quality, not clock coherence. I’m going to define STREAMER as “a device that receives audio over the network”. I’m going to define PLAYER as “Roon, or any other transmitter of audio over the network”.
