Um - from what I see (and experience), it’s not for days - it started this weekend for me (and others). The Support Team do not work weekends.
As I say - it’s the weekend, and actually, also from what I see, the support has greatly improved with detailed diagnosis now able to be given by the team from what they were able to do in past years.
No… why should I constantly be reporting problems. So if the whole server goes down on a Saturday, all of their customers need to wait until they feel like fixing it and not to treat it as urgent?
Same here. Taking an age to fully load and, when it does,Daily Picks is missing . It’s like it’s looking for them then loading after that times out. Been doing this for a couple of days at least.
Same (slow load and then no Daily Picks). Which is fine (the missing Picks, not slow load of everything below them). I wish Roon would stop adding Valence stuff (almost used another word starting with an s) and just concentrate on streamlining navigation, redesigning all the wasted space, and consistency of performance.
It’s a bad look on Roon not to have stable software and then not to treat it urgently when problems arise be it weekday, weeknight or weekend. The fact you’re saying go read the terms and conditions doesn’t give me a lot of confidence.
No, I haven’t read it. But I’ve worked for many companies that are 24/7. We used to wear something called a “pager” in the old days. And Management always had a revolving schedule for on-call staff. Our paying customers mattered.
Perhaps you could drop a note in the “suggestion box” sometime?
Having seen, read a few posts in the support category and others I wonder if a server in Roon HQ is misbehaving. I presume Daily Picks is partially driven in the cloud only because it requires a streaming service to function. I don’t know for sure.
Although I’m not using Roon as my daily music service, I’ve just checked and I’m seeing the Roon Squid logo doing its thing for longer than normal.
In use, Roon is still functioning as needed to play music.
Team Roon do not work weekends, just like myself and I’m a service provider, they deserve time off with their families and loved ones.
Occasionally Roon staff can be seen at the weekend posting a few times. Maybe less than once they did.
I do feel assured that if Roon’s servers went down completely on a weekend they’d be all hands on deck.
Once again I am finding the Home page, below Listen Later section, to be very slow loading. It currently taking 15-30s to load for me. I have restarted the server, and the client app (on a Mac) and it’s still slow. Indeed every time the client app is quit and restarted there’s the wait once again, even though the information shown hasn’t changed - I’m starting to really hate the animated Roon logo
So is this just me?
I realise that it is calling Mommy to get all the mixes and recommendations - previously Roon have been able to speed it up when enough people have yelled. Indeed, not all of us actually want this [thinks hard for polite words] stuff, making it even more annoying when finally I’m permitted to scroll on down the page
