Dark Side of the Moon: Format different in description vs signal path. Qobuz and Tidal

Sorry, I have to bring up DSOTM again. My signal path tells me a different format vs the description. What gives? (Location is Germany. These are the only 2 versions available in the streaming services, except for the 50th anniversary version on Qobuz that is still unreleased.)

Qobuz, 2011 Remaster. 16/44 in description, 96/24 in signal path:

Tidal, 2011 Remaster, 24/96 MQA in description, 16/44 in signal path. I don’t have an MQA DAC but have Enable MQA Decoder in Roon‘s device settings:

Every other Qobuz album I checked gives me consistent information in the two places, just not this one

(Let’s ignore Tidal because lots of albums show differences for me, it’s all over the place with this MQA mess)

Correct here in UK only version is 2011 remaster

Now I need to wipe this from my history .

:joy:

USA Tidal account.
England Qobuz account.
They play as indicated.

Thanks all. This is weird.

And sorry @Simon_Arnold3, the gap discussion made me do it

Same.
I was puzzled why DSOTM is near the top of my most played albums this year.
It’s the bazillion plays of Speak To Me from testing Qobuz gapless

Which, by the way, I seem to have now. DSOTM broke my Roon :rage:

Not within the album, but quickly switching through the various versions now takes several seconds until the play starts, and I seem to have longer gaps in playlists as well. Or I’m going crazy

No problem here in USA. And, nothing wrong with Tidal MQA.

Nope I have noticed that to when you go back and forth. I think there is still something wrong with their caching system.

Isn’t it possible it plays the 96/24? I recall that Roon always plays the best version available.

I haven’t got an 44/16 version😜

It seems to play the 24/96 version, I assume that the signal path is correct. But then the error is that in the format information on the album it says 16/44.1 for me. Surely the format should be consistent in both places
