I’m hoping to get some input on the below:
I’m a happy owner of a Sonore optical module and an OpticalRendu (both fed by high quality linear PSUs). At the moment my Roon Core is on a networked general purpose Dell PC connected to my “plain Jane” TP Link router.
Has anyone compared the OpticalRendu’s SQ with a general PC vs a dedicated audio PC/Intel NUC in a high quality system? Does the oR make the upstream components quality almost irrelevant or is it worth investing into a dedicated audio PC to increase sound quality?
BTW I have an all Audio Note system (0.1X DAC, OTO SE Signature amp and AN/E Spe Hemp speakers, so it’s a rather revealing system).
