Diagnosing “Roon audio file is loading slowly…”

Greetings

I’ve had Roon running fine for months now. Software running on Intel NUC NUC7i7BNH, asus stor nas for storage, WiiM players in the house.

Aside from a couple of the WiiM players, everything is Ethernet cabled.

Today, I started getting interrupted play, with the “Roon audio file is loading slowly…” message in the app.

Everything has been restarted, if all “looks” fine, I’m stuck.

Could this be related to one player? The phrasing of the error message seems to imply an issue between the storage and Roon, and they’re about 12 inches apart, both connected to the same switch!

Any suggestions for troubleshooting are welcome and appreciated!

I’m now getting “an audio file is loading slowly” error [IMG_0360] [IMG_0359] But when it is working the processing speed is 45x or higher? Same error on multiple endpoints. Restarted Roon server.

Had to revert back to the previous version (V2.0 build 1496) on my Macmini as I would frequently lose my Devialet Phantom audio zone and would show “an audio file is loading slowly” and network issues. Now stable again after reverting.

I was able to get it working by disabling upsampling in Roon.
