Difference in objective SQ specs between 44.1 kHz/16-bit files from Qobuz and Tidal?

As a current subscriber of both services, I see that most of the content offered by them is streamed in the 44.1 kHz/16-bit format - so when Roon shows both options, which should one normally select? Is there any difference?

…depends on the master used to derive the stream…
…whatever sounds best to you, but don’t ask the forum, because it’ll turn into another MQA lover/hater thread that way!

Not my intent to create another MQA thread, rest assured  I was just wondering if anyone had ever perceived a difference between identical same music file specs from the two services.

Someone will have, whether it’s in their mind or not is another matter.

The purpose of my question was very simple: when I see equal options from Tidal and Qobuz, does it matter which one I choose?

Maybe yes, if they’re different masters. Probably no, if they’re the same master.

But of course there is no way to identify which master is which, right?

That’s right, just vote with your ears if you can make out differences.
