DigiOne Signature and Shanti

Hello all. In some of the research I’ve done, I thought I read somewhere that the Shanti powers both the clean and dirty sides of the DigiOne, which in turn powers the Pi (RPi 4).

But now that I’m looking for it, I can’t find where I read that. Did I imagine it? Did I draw an inference that just isn’t true? Now I’m confused.

Thanks for any help.

In the standard set-up the DigiOne/Pi setup uses a single power supply.

The DigiOne Signature / Pi setup requires two power supplies, so the Shanti is convenient because it can supply both.

Some Allo devices allow you to split the supplies, so it may be possible to do that with the DigiOne - but that certainly isn’t the standard setup.

You can obviously use the Shanti with the DigiOne - but only one of the outputs would be needed.

I’ve changed the title – I really meant the DigiOne Signature.

So the Shanti can supply both the power supplies of the DigiOne Signature, if I’ve read your reply correctly? One output goes to the clean input, the other to the dirty?

If I’m understanding what I’ve seen, the 5v3a goes to the dirty which powers the Pi, and the 5v1a goes to the clean and that powers the DigiOne Signature. Yes?

Thanks!

Exactly correct, the Pi / dirty side needs the high power out, the lower power one for the output.

The board itself has two connectors - so you connect both to the Shanti.

The power connector on the same side of the board as the digital outputs is clean.

The one in the far corner is dirty.
