Is it possible to prevent Roon from being able to delete albums? I don’t like the idea that someone else in my family could potentially delete my precious music.
That’s why you have to go to a lot of trouble to delete as I see it. Delete is useful to me occasionally, I just tell people not to do it.

Thanks both. In an ideal world I would be able to delete but my family would not. I guess there’s no password/authentication so I’ll have to go with the @wizardofoz solution.
Doesn’t work with Linux as Roon has root privileges, so the only thing you can do is mount the drives read only (or change how Roon is run).
