I feel such tensions are a bit inevitable over time (not too long ago there were many articles about how everyone was supposedly abandoning eBay instead). Reading the article, everyone seems to have good points. Hopefully they can work it out

I agree. I’ve made some purchases via Discogs, and it does facilitate the shopping experience (code for: “good price comparisons” 
). However, perhaps it is an undervalued market exchange, and the sellers are losing out. Maybe it needs to recalibrate.
I hope it does not lose its wonderful user-submission philosophy along the way.
