In the Discourse thread people are reporting that it seems fixed on some Discourse sites but not others (maybe depending on a Discourse update?), and the Discourse developers still think it’s a WebKit bug, but in this case why would Brave not have it.
Maybe some Roon forum maintainer could go there and find out / give feedback?
I’m confused by the behavior because it seems to differ every time with Safari 26.1. When starting a new post, the text cursor is in the wrong place but scrolling once seems to fix it. When editing a post, it seems sometimes better than it was before and sometimes just as bad. Maybe there is some action that improves the behavior but it’s not obvious and sometimes I hit on it and other times I don’t.
Seems to have been fixed with the iOS 26.1 update , for me at least.
It’s not. Sometimes it’s better (as scrolling the page fixes it temporarily more often) but not always, and it’s definitely not fixed.
The cursor is still often offset:
And it still puts the iOS context menu over the Discourse „quote“ context menu:
After editing, the cursor can be anywhere, and the Save button doesn’t work as the touch area is offset from the visual button, too
Yes, ok, it’s still a bit funky. ![]()
The way around it currently is to minimise the editor and reopen it. This seems to fix it for a while.
Not for me, at least not every time and depending on what I’m doing.
The best workaround for now to is to use the Brave browser.
However, this needs to be fixed

Posting with my iPad (the device I use here 99% of the time), has become an “adventure”. ![]()
iPad works much better for me, though not 100% perfect. It’s a 12.9“ iPad Pro, so more like a laptop.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is a nightmare (with Safari)
I normally don’t use my phone (iPhone 12Pro) for posting; too small for my clumsy fingers. ![]()
I’m really not liking this iOS software. Which is unusual for me. Seems like a half arsed version…
I just updated to iPad OS 26.2. It seems to have fixed this issue, at least for now. Time will tell if it’s really fixed.![]()
My iPhone 12Pro is updating now. When it finishes, I’ll see if it’s fixed there as well.
I never really had a problem on the iPad, did you? It was just the iPhone for me, I hope it works out
Yep, I had issues with my iPad (10th gen iPad) on iOS 26 until today’s 26.2 update.
As a test, I’m using my Phone 12Pro and it seems to be fine now on 26.2 as well. Time will tell if it holds.![]()
Seems to be ok finally in the editing box, for now at least, but the Safari context menu still covers the Discourse quote buttons when selecting text in a post. That’s both on iPhone and iPad.
Hmm, sometimes it still does but sometimes they are properly side by side. Can’t see what makes the difference.
Me neither, but 26.2 seems to cure most of the issues, for now.
