Display for NUC with ROCK?

I have NUC with ROCK seventh gen i5 BNH.

Running headless.

I thought I’d attach a monitor via HDMI, just to show cover art what’s playing on Roon.

I can’t get it work. See picture for all that I get.

Or am I doing something stupid that is not possible?

ROCK is deliberately headless. There is no graphical display.

You could put a Pi together and run RoPieee with a 7" screen If you really want a screen.

Bummer!

Pi’s scare me :flushed:

RPi is easy…if you can manage an ikea build its not too difficult and takes much less space :stuck_out_tongue:

I love my displays using RPi and Ropieee (I have 3 of them) and connect 2 with DAC’s displaying whats playing on the DAC and the 3rd uses an IQAudIO DigiAMP+ HAT with a pair of bookshelf speakers attached in the bedroom…WAF friendly too - she uses it all the time.

ROCK is headless.

I think you can install Windows and run the standard Roon for Windows (instead of ROCK) to achieve your purpose.

Or use this https://community.roonlabs.com/t/roon-extension-roon-web-controller-v1-2-0/28412

ROCK does not support extensions like the Web Controller that is linked. But I have put together a step by step installation guide that installs Diet Pi on a Raspberry Pi. This allows you to run the Pi as a Roon endpoint like ROCK, but also allows you to install extensions like the Web Controller and the popular Alarm Clock extension.

Here is the doc: https://github.com/pluggemi/roon-web-controller/wiki/Diet-Pi-Installation-Extension-Manager

Yeah I was envisioning the OP would use another system connected to the tv for display purposes. Guess I should have made it clear.
