Hi all,
I’m going kind of nuts searching for a stand for the 7" RPI display. I’ve tried the Pimoroni stand, but that’s not quite right.
On the back of the display there’s of course a Pi 4 with a HifiBerry Digi2 Pro HAT on it. I just want something that will support the display. Doesn’t have to be fancy at all, but if it’s just angle brackets, there needs to be room to get the Ethernet cable through (which the Pimoroni didn’t)
I should also mention that I don’t want to make a stand – I just want something that exists so I can get back to music.
In case anyone is interested: I got the SmartiPi Touch Pro stand. You can leave the back off on this one and power the display and Pi separately, and also run a cable or two from an audio HAT. And it’s stable.
There are a few things that I could have done that I didn’t – attach the fan power supply (no back on the unit, no fan and no need for cooling) or used a splitter for the power to the display and the Pi (erring on the side of caution, I used separate power supplies for each.)
I might have done both of the above if I’d put the back on the unit, but I couldn’t figure out how I would get the coax cable from the audio HAT to fit out the back of the unit without cutting a hole in the back, and I didn’t feel like doing that just now.
