I got a 5 inch waveshare primarily because the 7 inch official screen is very hard to find. Roon displays fine, however the touch controls don’t do anything other than cycle between the clock and the Roon display when I touch.
Did you have to edit the config.txt file or did your screen work fine as is?

Try inverting the display in the settings. On mine the picture does not invert but the touch mapping does. See if that helps.
I didn’t see this sorry, but no I’ve had no issues. This behaviour implies it thinks you’re clicking on the album cover (rather than some other interactable area)
