Do I have to pay for Roon to use Qobuz PS Audio Air Lens

I’m using a PS Audio streamer Air Lens and it won’t work with Qobuz on the phone but Tidal does work.

It can’t see the air lens ps audio streamer no matter what device I try. I have tried two different iPhones and an Apple tablet.

Annoying as I don’t want to have to pay for Roon on top of Qobuz to just play music. I also don’t want to set up Roon on the computer as I just want it to work from my phone.

Why do they have to over complicate it?

Welcome to the Roon community, @Mark_Roberts1.

If you want to use the PS Audio AirLens with Roon, you’ll need an active Roon subscription once your trial has expired.

However, you don’t need a Roon subscription to use the AirLens–it also works with Qobuz, Spotify and TIDAL, and other music player software.

The best approach is to try the different services. You can start a free Roon trial here.

… but Qobuz doesn’t work without Roon as I’ve tried to connect, no joy.

Tidal does work without Roon.

Please confirm you have tried it and how?

Qobuz only works through Roon is stated on the website, Tidal Connect works as a standalone.

I was quoting from the PS Audio website …

Streaming audio via Roon or other services like Qobuz, Tidal, and Spotify …

Evidently, this is incorrect albeit Qobuz may work with other supported players. But of course, we think Roon is best. :grinning:
