Does ARC support searching for music in Android Auto?

I do not seem to be able to search for music in ARC on Android Auto.
I can brows my library but search using voice prompts is not available.
I’m using wireless Android Auto with a Galaxy S23 Ultra and Kia EV9 GT line.

I don’t have Android as I am using my iPhone with my CarPlay/Android display in my car. I can have Siri search for music with ARC.

Yes, it works for me using AA. Just press the microphone icon () or say “Hey Google, play XYZ using Roon ARC”.

I also lack the “search” function in Android Auto. It’s a bit silly having to stop at a highway parking to search for an artist or album in the ARC app.

When I press the microphone icon or say “Hey Google" I get the cars response (Kia EV9), not the Android Auto response, so it does not seem to work for me.

Is it? Trying to search while driving means you’re not focused on driving. That’s why Google, not Roon don’t allow searching while driving. Same with my Android satnav and other players.

true. But Tidal & others allow it. I’l try searching with voice commands - that will be safe then
