I’m looking into building an app and it’d be helpful to be able to collect play counts for each track (ideally have them timestamped too) in Roon.
Does anyone know if this is possible to access?

Roon stores play count information in the Roon database.
Roonlabs do not publish any technical details on this.
You might be able gleam some information from the Roon logs, but appreciate that’s not what you’re looking for.

If it weren’t in there somewhere, Roon wouldn’t be able to display it 
If the API supports it, it may be your best bet, but I don’t know:
You could scrobble from Roon to Last.FM and get this information from there.
