Does the database intermix the name of the album and the artist?

I’m having problems to organize my albums based on Artist.
What I notice is that as soon there’s a number in front of the album name it’s seen by the database as part of the artist name.
For example ( see screenshot) there’s the album with title : 100x winter 2012. artist : various artist
this album should if I sort on Artist be shown at the letter V now it appears as a number and 100 comes before 10cc 10CC

I tried to edit the metadata in Roon but Unlesss I take out 100 in the title from my own meta data it will not move to V where it belongs " various artist "
this is valid for all albums I have that start with a number

any thoughts ?
