Description of the issue

The tracks 1-1 and 2-5 have double titles with each a different length. See screenshot.

Over at Qobuz (i.e. the Qobuz app) both tracks are titled correctly. So it seems to be a Roon-problem.

I can’t even find the album via Roon yet it’s in Qobuz app. Something odd going on.

@Bluebeat ,

Confirmed this is a Roon issue. I’ve had this album in my library and results are the same.

Verifiable by that this is a 17 track album. Roon list that number as well but there are 19 tracks.

I added the same album under Tidal along with Qobuz and the total track number was 19 once again.

@CrystalGipsy possibly an issue with your phones search index? I had no issues when performing the search

Thanks for duplicating this, @Singleton :+1:

Indeed, the album as provided by Tidal now shows up in Roon with 19 tracks too. Strange.

Well, apparently the Roon metadata don’t match. Hopefully this can be amended.

Hi @Singleton

The only reason I believe it shows under search currently for you is because you have already added it to your library. If you remove both Tidal and Qobuz versions and search again, I’d be interested what you find.

Both @CrystalGipsy and I attempted all routes to find this when not in our libraries, and it failed to show.

I’m on Arc, and have removed this from my library. Search reveals this (the same as Roon).

It’s only discoverable when you find it under versions for the regular Blue Train listing. Have a good and report back in case there’s any difference.

Interestingly I noticed my A Love Supreme copy was doing something similar with the compositions like this one is. I had to go and edit the version of album Roon has decided it was and then it showed correctly.
Maybe the same for this version. It does seem the composition entries are being incorrectly read.

@Menzies @CrystalGipsy ,

You’re both absolutely correct. I removed my original Qobuz entry followed by the recent Tidal entry and after having done so this Coltrane album can’t be found.

Thanks for the correction and the path to get John back.

@menzies @CrystalGipsy @Singleton Are you all, after these search exercises, still seeing both Blue Train tracks being split up? Thanks.

In short, yes. I prefer a different version over this so took time to find it.

Once found the tracks show as before. If I add that version I can edit how it should appear, multi-part composition grouping it shows near normal.

Yes it also did it for A Love Supreme which is my own copy. So it’s likely got some compositional metadata wrong. Tries to edit it after editing it didn’t help.

Affirmative on all comments made.

Indeed, that worked. Great. Thanks. :+1:

Then again - it’s a mystery why Roon would see this track as a multipart composition. Very strange.
