Downloading Tidal Tracks Using Roon

The Tidal app has a feature that lets you download music files so they are available offline. Is there a way to do this using Roon?

The reason I want to do this is that I find files played off my hard drive at home sound better than those streamed through Tidal.

So right now I will purchase albums I really like after hearing them on Tidal to get the best sound quality. I’m thinking that I’d I could just download them from Tidal I wouldn’t need to buy them to get the best sound quality.

Short answer is no. The offline tracks available in Tidal are encrypted and stored, so only accessible via Tidal app.

In your situation I would look at Qobuz if you can, with the their hi-res streaming options you get discounts on purchases.
