Hello. I'm trying to play DSD512 through a RoPieee. The RoPieee is a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a HIFIBerry Digi2 Pro hat. Roon core is running on an Ubuntu PC, and the DSD files are sitting on a OpenMediaVault NAS. Each device is wire connected to a WIFI router. When I play the DSD files, the audio starts and stops and eventually stops. The RoPieee DSD playback strategy is set to DSD over PCM v1.0 (DoP). I'm not sure which is the bottleneck, but if the RoPieee is, would a Pi4 or Pi5 handle DSD better? Or could the Roon core or the NAS be the problem. Thanks!

The HiFiBerry Digi2 Pro does not do DSD. Only PCM to 192 KHz/24 bit as far as I know. So its not a Ropieee thing.

Thank you Frank. Can you suggest (if any) a Pi hat the does do DSD?

Its not the PI, its the HAT! All HiFiBerry HAT’s do only PCM. You have need of of DAC that does DSD.
