DSP Filters based on personalized HRTF files in AES69/sofa format

I am listening mostly over headphones and recently discovered a source to obtain personalized HRTF (Head Related Transfer Fuctions) files. I am very interested in this since I think this could dramatically improve the headphone listening experience. The main benefits would be localization of sound outside of your head and an expereince similar to listening over speakers.

The personalized HRTF are delivered in a standardized format based on the AES69/sofa (Spatially Oriented Format for Acoustics) standard, however Roon will currently only accept a WAV file to create a convolution filter. What I would like to see is for Roon to be able to accept AES69/sofa files to create DSP filters. I am not sure if this is possible some insight or a response from Roon would be appreciated.
