Most of us dislike dynamic range compression, I was certainly one of them… until Roon was only at home. But now that ARC allows me to hear my fancy audiophile tracks on the go, I found myself driving while listening to music and I realized that with certain well recorded albums my only options were not to hear anything during quiet parts so that I could hear something sometimes, or hear everything at the cost of unbearably loud sound in loud moments.
My suggestion would then be having a button in ARC (ideally in Carplay / Android Auto directly) that temporarily enables dynamic range compression for high background noise situations.
