Hello Everyone,
First off, thanks for all the feedback on these changes! We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to improve playlists in Roon, and we’re thrilled to see everyone’s first impressions.
We appreciate all the feedback about the sidebar, and this release includes additional graphical and functional changes, including the ability to sort playlists in the sidebar, or turn off that list entirely.
Elsewhere, we’ve closed a number of bugs and have been investigating reports of unavailable tracks. We believe we have made some progress on this issue. Please let us know if you run into any issues with tracks in your playlists that should be playable but are not.
We are considering today’s release to be a release candidate, so while we welcome any and all feedback, we would ask everyone to spend some time focusing on the basics – are you having issues finding your playlists, adding tracks to playlists, editing playlists, moving or copying playlists, or interacting with playlists stored in your streaming service account?

Changes
- Introduced the ability to hide playlists from the sidebar
- Added sorting options for playlists on the sidebar
- Fixed an issue where visiting a streaming playlist would erroneously update its modification time.
- Resolved an issue causing playlists to include an excessive number of tracks with an ‘Unavailable’ status.
- Fixed a bug where changes to TIDAL playlists were not being detected and updated accordingly.
- Fixed a bug where ARC users could encounter a blank screen after accessing the Playlist browser
- Resolved a crash in Roon when attempting to navigate to a newly created playlist from the sidebar
- Removed the non-functional “Move” option for playlists outside the library
- Added a “Replace at quality” option in ARCs Download browser that was missing in certain cases
- Addressed ARC performance issues encountered when scrolling through playlist folders
- Fixed a connectivity issue where ARC would sometimes fail to connect to the core using an IPv6 address
- Various minor fixes and improvements
Installation
Cores, remotes, and ARC installations already running earlyaccess should update automatically. If you need to reinstall, the latest earlyaccess builds can always be found at the following links.
