Hello Everyone,
We’re thrilled to share an enhancement to your music exploration within Roon – the folder browser feature. This new addition is designed for those who prefer a more hands-on approach to organizing and accessing their music collection, based on the familiar structure of file names and folders.
Roon’s folder browser lets you browse into your local music based on how your music is stored, with file names and folders browseable right in Roon.
The browser allows for powerful sorting and filtering of all the music in your watched folders, with a variety of customizable sorting options. Alongside the track titles displayed elsewhere in Roon, you’ll see file names, file size, import dates, and more, and you’ll also be able to browse to each track’s associated album links, artist links, and more. You can also view any images or PDFs that exist alongside your music files.
When viewing tracks or albums, you can also click “Go to folder” to navigate to where your music is stored, and once you’re browsing a folder, you can select one or more tracks to play, favorite, add to a playlist, tag, or edit. You can also play a folder which will play all the tracks within that folder and within any subfolders.
If folder-based organization is important to you, you can also favorite folders you want regular access to so they’ll always be just a click away! Favorite folders appear right in the folder browser alongside your watched folders.
Note that when browsing folders in Roon, you’ll only see content that Roon supports – supported audio files, images, and PDFs will be shown but unsupported file formats and folders that are empty or only contain unsupported formats will not be shown.

Installation
Cores, remotes, and ARC installations already running earlyaccess should update automatically. If you need to reinstall, the latest earlyaccess builds can always be found at the following links.
