Hey Everyone,
Our team continues to improve Roon’s performance and reliability, especially in areas that can quietly degrade the day-to-day experience. One recurring cause we’ve seen is background work starting at inconvenient times - which can lead to slow loads, responsiveness hiccups, connectivity oddities, and in rare cases even playback interruptions. In this release, we redesigned how Roon handles the background operations that keep your library up to date (metadata refresh, artwork updates, identification, and other maintenance) and moved them into a scheduled window, so this work runs when it’s least likely to interfere with listening. More about the change here.
Alongside that work, we’re continuing to address issues reported by the community. In this release we resolved cases where Roon would stop updating “Now Playing” info for certain Live Radio stations, and fixed an Android issue where the back-swipe gesture wasn’t working in the Roon client - plus a handful of other small fixes and improvements.

Changes
