Hey Everyone,
We’ve been putting a lot of focused effort into improving Roon’s performance, reliability, and overall responsiveness, especially in areas where we’ve been hearing more feedback recently. This build is part of that broader work. Some of the changes here are directly visible, while others are foundational and help support additional improvements that are already on the way in upcoming builds.
One of the larger steps in this release is the introduction of migrated Roon desktop clients as part of our broader platform modernization work. This is an important milestone in a longer-term effort across the Roon ecosystem, and it helps set the stage for future improvements in stability, maintainability, and performance.
Alongside that, we’re continuing to invest in smaller product improvements that help Roon feel more polished in day-to-day use. In this build, that includes expanded tooltip coverage with keyboard shortcut hints, as well as a new random sort option in the Album Browser. We’re also continuing to put steady effort into addressing both newly reported issues and older bugs across the product.
On the ARC side, we continue to expand its functional parity with the main Roon app. After recently adding support for streaming service browsers, this build introduces Focus in ARC as well, bringing over one of Roon’s most powerful ways to browse and narrow down music using rich filtering criteria.

P.S.: As part of the migration to .NET 10, this build raises the minimum supported macOS version to macOS 12 (Monterey). Users running macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or earlier will not be able to launch this build. Please note that this requirement will carry over to the production release as well - if you are affected, we strongly recommend upgrading to macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.
