Hey Everyone,
Thanks to everyone who reported the performance issues after the previous release and helped point us in the right direction. The patterns several of you called out around memory growth during background activity were real, and our investigation led us to a memory leak introduced alongside the search optimizations in build 1645.
This build addresses that newly introduced issue and includes additional improvements to search performance and memory handling. In other words, the larger memory growth some of you have been seeing recently appears tied to this specific EA regression, not to the broader set of performance concerns some users may have experienced in earlier Production builds.
Our hope is that fixing this will clear out that recently introduced issue and give us a cleaner baseline for further optimization work, as well as for investigating any other areas where the app may still not be behaving as well as it should.
Additionally, Roon ARC is now back in sync with Roon and includes the new random sort option.
