Will an eero Mesh Router work with the Roon Nucleus One? And if so, are there changes that need to made with the router to make it work? I am waiting to hear from my friend on the model of the router.
It should be fine
but always remember that your core (server) should be hardwired for best reliability.
I have used a 3 node eero mesh network (currently eero Pro 6E) with a Roon Nucleus B (Roon ROCK prior) for many years with no issue. The Nucleus is hardwired directly to the eero designated as the gateway. The eero configuration is for the most part set to the default settings. Nothing I recall needed to be specifically changed to make it all work with Roon.
I use the Eero mesh router Pro 6e and have been very pleased. I have it hard-wired to a Roon NUC through my Lumin L2. Zero problems. I transitioned from Google Wi-Fi. Also, Eero has a more robust GUI and often updates its software. Besides its rock solid performance, the biggest advantage is reach of the mesh network.
Did you do any special configuration to the Eero? Bridge mode?
There were many cases in the past that other models of this brand won’t work with Roon unless in bridge mode.
No special configuration in my setup. I use an RJ45 Ethernet cable out of an eero node into a Sonore optical converter. Then, I use fiber into my Lumin L2. Works perfectly.
Thanks!
I really appreciate your impute about the eero mesh router.
