Endpoint attached touch screen

I have a cheap WIN10 laptop being used as both control and output to my headphone rig.

I’m thinking of attaching a wall-hung, VESA mounted touch screen to control Roon, both for my headphones and for my speaker setup.

Can I control Roon this way under WIN10? I’m guessing I can.

One of the monitors I looked at needed, on the attached WIN10 device, both an HDMI port and a USB-C Alt mode port in order to be a touch screen. I have a USB-C port, but it doesn’t have Alt mode

Not sure if it means that a USB-C port with Alt mode can act as both a control point and a video port or if a HDMI connection along with a regular USB-C port will also work. I asked on Amazon, but that was a waste of time.

If anyone knows, what are my chances?

Thanks for any replies.
