I was listening on Roon with using my MacBook as remote. The MacBook battery was 100% charged when I started.
I started playing an album and let the Roon app stay open in background. I was reading Roonlabs forum in Firefox 86.0.1. No other apps were open on my Macbook. After 45 minute my macbook closed down. No warning or anything the battery just got drained, very quickly.
This has never happened with any other app than Roon. I know that 1.7 had very high energy consumption but 1.8 seem to be even worse.
After the battery died and I were able to restart the computer I had a look at the Activity Monitor.
Roon has currently an Energy Impact between 30 to 55 while in background.
Edit: I just realised that the Energy Impact if Roon app is in FullScreen mode while being in background increase a lot?

Why do Roon app consume so much energy even when in background?
Why do Roon use more energy while in fullscreen mode even when in background?
Will this be investigated and hopefully solve in later updates?
